E-Tourism around the world / Re: Roof Top Restaurant - BANGKOK
« Last post by paripalu on Today at 02:57:27 PM »
Probably one of the hotels along the Chao Phraya River. Most of them are on the expensive side but most are 5-star hotels and not only among the best in Bangkok but two of them have at various times been rated the best in the world, The Mandarin Oriental and The Peninsula. Others along the river and for less money than the Oriental or Peninsula are the Shangri-La and Royal Orchid Sheration, also Le Bua located a couple blocks from the river has suites with balconies and some of the best views of the river and the city as well as an open-air rooftop restaurant. None of these hotels are cheap, but are good bargains compared to what the cost would be almost anywhere else in the world. This is one of many websites that offer substantial discounts on hotel rates, check the individual hotel websites for special offers, too.

E-Tourism around the world / Re: business travel agents

I have purchase ticket through a travel agent for a fraction of what it would cost me on on line sites, so yes, it's possible. For me, it was a ticket from LAX to Seatle. The travel agent got me a ticket for less than half and less layover than anything I could find on line.

General Section Discuss and Share Anything / Re: Tea Dyeing process
« Last post by paripalu on Today at 10:41:19 AM »
If you mean you'd like to use peroxide from the bottle that you would use for antiseptic (the big brown bottle from the drugstore), it would probably take a lot of dunks to get it very light. It would probably just pick up a bit of color, and possibly make your hair brassy. I don't think that stuff has much strength to do a lot of damage, it would just be a lengthy process with weak results. As for using tea to dye it, you'd have to steep it as bold as possible, and even then it would rinse out after a couple of days. Kool-aid mixed into a paste with water will give you a brighter color. Try the whole process on a large piece and see what happens before you go for your whole head. :)

General Section Discuss and Share Anything / Re: Infusers & Strainers
« Last post by paripalu on Today at 10:40:40 AM »
There's a small teashop that I go to to purchase my teas and they also sell teaballs/infusers. They're really simple and will wind up saving you money in the long run as opposed to coffee filters. Your standard tea infuser will run anywhere from $1.99-$12.95, depending on size and manufacturer. Also there are teapots that have infusers with them that run about $20 or so. And if you're worried about toxic materials I have included a link to a website that specializes in non-toxic items. I would suggest looking up teas in your phonebook and then going to one of the local stores and asking one of the attendants to advise you on the best infuser as well.

I know you said your hair doesn't stay curly. But scrunch it at night, then in the morning pull it up into a high pony tail, then wrap the pony tail around itsself. Secure it with 4-8 bobbypins (depending on how thick/thin your hair is.
